The Polk County Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary to Post #9116 in Columbus is asking school children of any age to make “Thinking About You” cards for the Veterans in Charles George Veterans Hospital in Asheville. Please, no last names on cards if you do sign.

With having no visitors, we are sure they are getting lonely. Please bring the cards to the Columbus or Lynn Post Offices for the two weeks following this notice. There will be a box to put them in marked Veterans.

This would give our children something to do in this Covid-19 time and know they made someone smile!

Children are the precious part of our lives!
