TRYON- You can imagine the surprise that came to the Tryon Dollar General employees when they spotted a huge sinkhole in the front part of their parking lot last week.

 

Bystanders have noticed there has not been much change to the hole as it remains in the same shape as if it just occurred.

 

Melanie Walsh, District Manager of the Dollar General in Tryon was only able to share that the Dollar General Corporation had been made aware of the sinkhole. They are working with the local landlord of the Tryon franchise to resolve the issue. 

 

As of now, she could not provide any tentative date(s) on when the sinkhole would be filled, just that they are aware of the issue and are working on the problem.
