Polk County’s Charters of Freedom were dedicated on Tuesday afternoon at Veterans Park in Columbus with speakers, the Polk County High School band, the unveiling and a time capsule. The Charters of Freedom are replicas of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence, gifted to the county by Foundation Forward, Inc.
