Registration to run for Landrum Council is over

 

LANDRUM—The deadline for filing for the upcoming municipal election for the City Council seats in Landrum has officially come to a close. The registration began in early July and ended on Friday, August 9. 

The City of Landrum will hold its non-partisan general election on Tuesday November 5, for the offices of three city council seats. Voters will have the option to cast a “write in” vote in the November election as long as the candidate meets the necessary requirements.

The three City Council seats that will be up for reelection in November are currently held by; Johnny Carruth, Shannon Dotson, and Joyce Whiteside.

All three of the incumbents have filed to retain their seats on the City Council. They are running unopposed as no other Landrum resident filed to run for the City Council seats.
