Open House events 

 

LANDRUM—The first day of school is rapidly approaching and with it so are the joys of meeting the new teachers. 

Spartanburg County public schools will hold their first day of classes on August 19. This includes: Landrum High School, Landrum Middle School, O.P. Earle Elementary School, and Campobello-Gramling. 

The District 1 schools will all be holding “Meet the Teacher” and “Open House” events to introduce students and parents to their new teachers. It also gives students who may be moving up from the elementary to the middle school, or from middle school to high school, the opportunity to get a more in depth tour of the building before they get to far into the school year. 

Landrum High School students also have the opportunity to take courses at Swofford Career Center that focus on learning a trait or skill that can help them immediately find a place in the work force post graduation. Some of the courses at Swofford include; welding, cosmetology, paint and body shop work for vehicles, AUTO CAD and programming training, among many other things. Swofford will be holding a Meet the Teacher event prior to the start of the school year.
