Have you had enough winter?  Or is it Spring yet?  The Carolina Camera Club will be meeting on Feb. 12, 6-8 pm at the Polk County Library in Columbus.  Bring your latest photos to share on a flash drive.  Everyone is welcome.   

 

This photo was taken at the Botanical Gardens in Asheville by Margie Pankey, who stopped at this little house to refresh herself.  It is “Margie’s Spring House,”  built in 1967 and named after Margie McCracken, one of the founders of the Botanical Gardens.  Margie McCracken drove up to Mount Mitchell to look for native plants to rescue, dig them up and transplant in the garden. The spring house was named in her honor.
