At the Jan. 24 meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon, Tim Brannon from the Tryon Fine Arts Center’s capital campaign committee presented an update on the plans to expand and remodel the fifty year old facility. After giving the Rotarians a brief history of the Fine Arts Center, Brannon detailed the renovation plans that will insure the Center’s ability to meet the current and growing needs for student education, concerts, and enhanced exhibits space. In addition, the renovation will improve patron accessibility and safety. The work will be done in three stages with the first stage to begin in the coming weeks. The work of the Capital Campaign will continue to provide funding for the final two stages. Brannon was introduced by Rotarian Dave Cornelius.
