Green Creek Hounds Opening Hunt set for Saturday

Published 8:00 am Wednesday, November 7, 2018

The Opening of the Hunt and Blessing of the Hounds for Green Creek Hounds will take place Saturday at Green River Farm.

Spectators on foot, from near and far, are welcome to come to the blessing. Father Mickey Mugan will officiate the ceremony, which is free for all to attend and is open to the community.

Green Creek will celebrate the opening hunt with Tally Ho wagons for those who want to join in the occasion by riding, not on a horse, but on the wagons, and watching the hunt after the blessing. Mounted riders, dressed in formal riding apparel, with their horses braided, will follow the hounds, and huntsman.
