Steve King was recently inducted into the Second Wind Hall of Fame, sponsored by Conserving Carolina.
This award reads in part, “In recognition of a useful and productive life, continuing beyond retirement while others paused to rest. These dedicated persons caught a ‘second wind’ and began a new career of service to the community and to mankind.”
King serves on the board of Conserving Carolina, and is a multiple term board member for Foothills Humane Society. He gives many volunteer hours to both organizations.
King also is a long-time volunteer for the Meeting Place’s Meals on Wheels program.
In his spare time, King is an avid tennis player, a hiker and a collector of maps.
Second Wind Hall of Fame is pleased to honor Steve King for his tireless service to the community, organization representatives said.
