Shelf Life: Horsin’ around at the library

Published 8:00 am Wednesday, September 5, 2018

Polk County has been preparing for the World Equestrian Games for what feels like forever, and now they are only days away.

I have my tickets, and I am excited to attend a vaulting event after I had someone explain the different disciplines (vaulting is most often described as gymnastics and dance on horseback, and sounded the most interesting to me).

Celebrate all things equestrian by attending a horse-themed library event at Polk County Public Libraries. We also have lots of horse-related books and DVDs available for checkout, as well as displays at Columbus Library that demonstrate the various equestrian disciplines and horse breeds.
