Dadson learned a lot about multitasking, working with others and with the public, and he said that “working for a nonprofit widened [his] perspective about how the world works.”

Dadson is a resident of Polk County, and has been a student Polk County High School. This fall, he will continue his high school education at the North Carolina School of Science and Math in Durham.

Dadson’s internship at Second Chance Thrift Store was a great help to the store employees and volunteers, and the staff hopes he will be able to return on a volunteer basis, representatives said.

Steps to HOPE thanks the Polk County Community Foundation for making the student’s internship possible.
