Polk Fit, Fresh and Friendly recently congratulated board member Mary Smith on her recent retirement. Smith served as a PF3 board member since its formation in 2011. She has been steadfast in her commitment to improving the wellness of the people of Polk County through healthy eating and active living, representatives said. Smith worked for the Rutherford-Polk-McDowell Health District for many years, most recently serving as the Region 2 Active Routes to School coordinator.
