Students from Chamber Music on the Hill will perform music for strings.
CMOTH is an intensive chamber music experience for students, high school through college age, who play violin, viola and cello. Students receive private lessons and coaching, play duets, trios and quartets, and have master classes on various topics.
CMOTH is currently in session at the Petrie School of Music at Converse College. The young people were chosen from a competitive field of applicants, and matched for their similarities in approach and commitment.
The Congregational Church will host a free concert presented by Fellowship Quartet members Zoe Kushubar and Lentz McNeill, violins; Andrew Billings, viola; and Alexander Parks, cello. The event will be on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary at 210 Melrose Ave., Tryon. People may reach the church at 828-856-9414.
