The Prime of Life Festival, a senior lifestyle and wellness event, has proven a monumentally instrumental role in the Foothills, organizers said.

The event started in Rutherford County 14 years ago, and now the second annual spring event is being held again in Polk County Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, 4066 Pea Ridge Road, Mill Spring. The event will take place, rain or shine, under the covered pavilion area at Legends arena.

The event organizer is Time-Out Management.

The Prime of Life brings vendors who specialize in senior living and lifestyles together in one place, who will offer knowledge, opportunities, health screenings and services in a one-stop-shop atmosphere. There will be chances to win prizes and giveaways.

St. Luke’s Hospital, Pardee University of North Carolina Health Care and Rutherford Heating & Air will be sharing their knowledge, expertise and information in three scheduled 20-minute break-out sessions.

At noon, Kenny Rogers tribute artist Tim Sells will top off the Prime of Life Festival with a special performance. Sells has been named one of the top three tribute artists in North Carolina by the Charlotte Music Awards.
