LANDRUM — Landrum area business owners whose schedules do not allow them to attend the Landrum Area Business Association’s monthly morning meetings now have a choice.
More than 25 people gathered at the depot Thursday for the Landrum Area Business Association’s first “Meet and Greet” event.
“We wanted to try and get business owners together to meet on a social level,” said LABA President Diana Winkler. “There are some people who, because of their schedules, just can’t come to the morning meetings.”
Winkler said LABA sponsored the first meet and greet, and she hopes area businesses will sponsor future meetings. Expressions Flower Cottage, of Landrum, donated a beautiful floral centerpiece and Bojangles’ Famous Chicken and Biscuits helped with the food for the Thursday gathering.
LABA Vice President Tricia Taber said she thought it was a good turnout for the first meet and greet.
“We want to have these every few months or so,” Tabor said.
“We hope it will help local businesses network, find out what other local businesses do and boost membership in the association,” Winkler added.
