Polk County District Court Results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, March 7, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 100 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following people were convicted of a crime:
Grant Tyler Guffey was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Guffey was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Stacey Ann Johnson was convicted of speeding 39 mph in a 25 mph zone. Johnson was fined $51 and court costs.
Matthew Livings Jones was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Jones was fined $90 and court costs.
Ziyad A. Kirby was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Kirby was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Joseph L. Moore was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Moore was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $150 fine and court costs.
Fabian Marcelo Nanni was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Nanni was fined $40 and court costs.
Donald R. Robertson was convicted of level three driving while impaired. Robertson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 72 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.
John Samuel Walters was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Walters was fined $50 and court costs.
