Nominations invited for Chamber annual awards

The Carolina Foothills Chamber is seeking your nominations for the people whose outstanding efforts in 2017 deserve special recognition. The winners will be announced at the Love the Chamber Celebration at Sunnydale on February 20, 2018. The awards criteria is as follows:

 Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award

 Individuals who make the commitment to help others are essential links in bringing our communities closer together. This award pays tribute to individuals who use their time, talent and compassion to positively affect the lives of others in their communities or in the workplace. Recipients of the award help foster a culture of citizenship and service that acts as a catalyst for others to become involved in civic and social activities.

Volunteer of the Year

An individual who devoted consistent time and outstanding efforts on behalf of the Chamber.

Businessperson of the Year

An individual who runs an established business, tax-exempt or not-for-profit organization that generates revenues, pays salaries and functions as any business, has operated for a generous period of time, is good for our communities and participates in community activities. This individual is well-respected by fellow businesspeople and is not a current Chamber Board member.

For each nomination, please include a few sentences as to why the person deserves the recognition and email to Christina Feagan at the Chamber (christina@carolinafoothillschamber.com) by Feb. 8, 2018.
