Mars and his new mother, Hailey Padula (left) pose with volunteers from the Foothills Humane Society who brought their foster kitties for the semi-annual cat adoption day hosted Saturday, September 30 by the Hospice Thrift Barn in Landrum. The volunteers said the humane society has another 175 cats that need new homes. Adoption includes shots, a vet exam and, if the cat is old enough, spaying or neutering.
