The campaign runs June through August 2025 and challenges residents to commit to spending $25 per month at downtown Tryon shops, restaurants, and service providers.

With national tourism experts forecasting a potential dip in travel spending this summer due to economic uncertainty, the campaign aims to keep dollars circulating locally and to remind residents of the variety and charm that Tryon’s businesses have to offer.

“We know that $25 might seem like a small amount, but when many residents make that choice together, the impact on our local economy is huge,” said Tracey Daniels, consultant to the Tryon Tourism Board, “And of course, we hope that once people visit downtown, they’ll discover even more reasons to spend, explore, and make supporting Tryon a regular habit.”

Local businesses are participating by showcasing what $25 can buy in their shops, from gift items and meal deals to specialty products and services. Photos of these offerings will be shared throughout the summer on social media to inspire residents to shop local first.

Participants and community supporters are encouraged to follow along and share their own experiences using campaign hashtags, including #25in2025, #TryonTogether, #LoveWhereYouLive, and #TryonNC.

To participate, visit downtown Tryon during June, July, and August and spend $25 or more at any participating business or nonprofit with retail offerings. Then, follow @ExploreTryon and @TryonDowntownDevelopment on social media and post your visit using the campaign hashtags to help spread the word.
