Sensory tasting experience offered by Overmountain Vineyards and The Orchard Inn

On Sunday, May 21 Overmountain Vineyards and The Orchard Inn will join forces to pair wine and food. Stuart Partin, executive chef of Newman’s Restaurant at the Orchard Inn in Saluda, has designed a meal, paired with Overmountain Vineyards’ current and cellared collections.
Frank Lilly, owner and winemaker of Overmountain Vineyards, will guide guests through the tasting experience over the course of the evening. Tasting any food and wine together is actually a complex sensory experience that entwines all of our senses. Through the interplay of sight, aromas, tactile sensations, and finally taste we are able to study the pairing of the wines. This intimate sensory tasting will launch a series of new wine tasting experiences that Frank and Sofia Lilly will be offering this summer by special appointment.
