POLK COUNTY DISTRICT COURT RESULTS

In Polk County District Court on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 75 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Bradley Garrison Cox was convicted of probation violation and larceny of a motor vehicle. Cox’s probation was revoked with 71 days credit and Cox was sentenced to 6-17 months in prison with 59 days credit for larceny of motor vehicle.

Tagan Kapp Crowe was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Crowe was fined $40 and court costs.

Milo Jamema Henderson was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Henderson was fined $50.

Patrick Michael Osborne was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Osborne was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Jeffrey Reynolds was convicted of possession of tobacco by an inmate. Reynolds was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit.

Jeffrey Scott Roland was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Roland was fined $100 and court costs.

Melissa Daniel Willard was convicted of second-degree trespassing. Willard was fined $50 and court costs.

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, with Judge David K. Fox presiding, 72 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Bradley Keith Gevedon was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Gevedon was sentenced to five days in jail with credit.

Dustin Lee Hall was convicted of level five driving while impaired and driving after consuming under age 21. Hall was sentenced to 24 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail, a $200 fine and court costs.

Ansley Elizabeth Roberts was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Roberts was fined $40 and court costs.

Claudia E. Whittworth was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Whittworth was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, seven days in jail, a $200 fine and court costs.

Brandon Thomas Willard was convicted of driving while impaired motor boat. Willard was sentenced to 13 days in jail with credit.

POLK COUNTY WEEKLY ARRESTS

JAN. 29-FEB. 4

Jan. 30

Christopher Crawford, 46, was arrested and charged with domestic violence protective order violation. Crawford was given a $35,000 bond.

Feb. 1

Reggie Hannon, 34, was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine, sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance, two counts of sell schedule II controlled substance, sell cocaine, conspire to traffic in cocaine, conspire to sell/deliver schedule II controlled substance and conspire to sell cocaine. Hannon was given a $405,000 bond.

POLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORT

For the month of January 2017, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office answered 639 calls for service.

There were 13 felony arrests, 37 misdemeanor arrests and 23 citations issued.

Officers served 80 civil papers, 58 criminal papers, completed 1,215 house checks, 3,121 business checks, 1,738 church checks, assisted the public 10 times and patrolled 25,490 miles.

The Polk County Jail booked a total of 103 inmates, including 72 males and 31 females.
