The Tryon Theatre, bought by Scott and Gayle Lane in December 2016, is getting a roof replacement. Renovations began Thursday morning as materials were shipped in from Roofers Supply of Greenville and Thompson Roof Services. According to Scott Lane, he and Gayle plan to do renovations to the building’s roof, ceiling and walls this year. Scott said the roof is going to be waterproof and weather resistant and added that a new gutter system would be installed later this year. (Photo by Michael O’Hearn)
