Columbus Fire Department November report

During the month of November 2016, the Columbus Fire Department answered 111 calls for service.

Calls included 50 medical calls, two fire alarms, 17 brush fires, two vehicle fires, one fuel spill/hazmat, two landing zones, two motor vehicle accidents with injuries, seven motor vehicle accidents without injuries, one no incident found, four tree down/without power lines, one stranded motorist, five calls for public service, 10 smoke complaints, one brush fire in Tryon’s fire district, two brush fires in Green Creek’s fire district, two structure fires in Mill Spring’s fire district and two brush fires in Mill Spring’s fire district.

Firefighters received 101 hours of training during the month.
