During the month of May 2016, the Saluda Police Department answered 103 calls for service.

There were six domestic disturbance calls, four animal control calls (one with a bite), four noise complaints, four state citations issued, 10 city citations issued, 25 warnings, four accidents, 19 welfare checks, six alarms and two open doors.

Officers completed 1,699 business checks, 117 church checks and 105 house checks.

The Saluda Police Department assisted the Columbus Police Department and the N.C. Highway Patrol with a road check and the Saluda Fire Department with a vehicle fire along I-26.
