Registration for the 2016 summer and fall semesters at Isothermal Community College opens Monday, April 4. Students will enjoy several new benefits in upcoming semesters.
First, the Powers Scholarship, which gives residents of Rutherford and Polk counties the opportunity for free tuition, is available for use during the summer semester this year.
Also, students with a valid Isothermal ID will be able to attend student and athletic events at Gardner-Webb University. Any admission fees charged will be the same as those charged to a full-time GWU student.
Priority deadlines for financial aid are looming as well, said Pam Ellis, Isothermal’s acting dean of Student Services. “Don’t delay,” said Ellis. “Now is the time to be sure that your financial aid is ready for summer 2016 and fall 2016.” The priority deadlines for financial aid are Friday, April 22, for summer and Thursday, June 23, for fall 2016.
Officials urge students and potential students to take action quickly to make sure their admissions files are complete and that they get all of the classes they need to take. The initial registration period will remain open until Friday, April 22. Last chance registration for summer is on Tuesday, May 17, with classes starting the next day.
Fall registration will reopen on Monday, June 6, and will remain open until Thursday, July 14. Last chance registration for Fall 2016 is August 16-17 with the first day of classes on Thursday, Aug. 18.
