To the editor:

I read with interest the recent letter by the Trump 2016 Polk County Coordinator. I agree with everything she said about the Republican Party. Where we differ is her conclusion.

Donald Trump is a foul-mouthed, egotistical, narcissistic braggart. He will never get any cooperation from a Congress that has already suffered seven years from an amateur president.

Do we want to elect someone who tells you what you want to hear and then put up with four more years of the same deadlock using executive orders?

Of the six primary candidates only John Kasich has any track record of working in Congress. His record as governor of Ohio is also good. The other Republican candidates spend their time fighting with each other or “The Donald.”

Hillary Clinton has years of dishonesty, lies, and obfuscation behind her. Bernie Sanders is too much of a socialist to make a decent president. Heaven help us if we have to choose between Donald and Hillary.
