For the month of January 2016, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office answered 674 calls for service.

There were 22 felony arrests, 24 misdemeanor arrests, 23 citations issued, 92 civil papers served and 8 criminal papers served.

Officers completed 1,095 house checks, 3,161 business checks, 1,521 church checks, assisted the public 17 times and patrolled 24,432 miles.

The Polk County Jail booked a total of 81 inmates, including 57 males and 24 females.
