Pacolet Junior Appalachian Musicians at Tryon Fine Arts Center finalize their second fantastic fall semester next Wednesday, Nov. 18 with a student concert and dance demonstration at 5:30 followed by a potluck dinner.

“This semester has been great!  The students are learning guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and singing, along with visits from folklorists Marilyn McMinn McCreedy and Todd Elliott, and our dance instructors, Claude and Elaine Graves,” program director, Rebecca Osteen says. “Student attendance is almost always 100 percent and their smiling faces give me a good measure of success of this program.  I am so glad to be a part of PacJAM.”

PacJAM extends their sincere appreciation to donors, teachers and volunteers that make this program available to children in this area and we look forward to a super spring semester beginning on Jan. 20. PacJAM is also sponsored by the Turner Tennant Foundation, Wayne O Henderson Foundation and Duke Energy Foundation, as well as D’addario Foundation.
