Polk County District Court results for Aug. 12

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 177 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Christopher Lee Burns was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Burns was fined $40 and court costs.

Erik Russell Butcher was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Butcher was fined $98 and court costs.

Vanessa Dudley Chin was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Chin was fined $90 and court costs.

Jimmy Lee Christian was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation, possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia. Christian was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Richard Keith Cousins was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Cousins was fined $100 and court costs.

John Wayne Franklin was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation and driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Franklin’s probation was revoked with 10 days credit and sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit.

Raven Shadae Gray was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Gray was fined $40 and court costs.

Howard Eugene Griffith was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Griffith was fined $97 and court costs.

Larry Tennys Halstead was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Halstead was fined $100 and court costs.

Grant Parks Jordan was convicted of cruelty to animals. Jordan was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Tian Junchao was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Junchao was fined $100 and court costs.

Sudarsanam Krishnan was convicted of speeding 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. Krishnan was fined $100 and court costs.

Celio Perdomo Mendoza was convicted of no operator’s license. Mendoza was fined $50 and court costs.

Troy Rhoads Metts was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Metts was fined $100 and court costs.

Thomas A. Miller was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Miller was fined $90 and court costs.

Aaron Joshua Mills was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Mills was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Robinson William Moore was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Moore was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $25 fine and court costs.

Claudia Socorro Ortiz was convicted of speeding 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. Ortiz was fined $100 and court costs.

Phillip Grant Rhodes was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Rhodes was fined $50 and court costs.

Emily Chapman Rubio was convicted of cruelty to animals. Rubio was sentenced to two years unsupervised probation and court costs.

Kirkland Aaron Sexton was convicted of speeding 110 mph in a 65 mph zone. Sexton was fined $110 and court costs.
