Tryon Arts and Crafts celebrates Earth Day

Tryon Arts & Crafts School will host its opening reception for “Celebrate Earth” on Friday, April 17 in the Gallery from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring items in various media celebrating Earth Day and nature. The exhibit will be open through May 22.

Upcoming events include a paper transformation workshop taught by Sally Hursey on April 18-19 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The Honey & Herb Garden Tea will be featured on Saturday, April 25 from 1-3 p.m. Call the school for reservations.

On May 2-3 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tryon Arts & Crafts School will hold a natural soap workshop taught by Sally Hursey.

A bladesmith workshop will be taught by Jerry Drew on May 9 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Christine Mariotti will hold a batik on silk workshop on May 16 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

An Eastern Repousse Jewelry workshop will be presented on August 22 and 23 taught by Victoria Lansford.
