FHS announces July volunteer winners

Foothills Humane Society recently announced their monthly volunteer winners based on highest number of service hours performed during the month of July.
The Gold winner is Samuel Murray. This is a summer project for Murray, who is a student at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. He has logged over 50 hours for the month of July. FHS is hoping he will come back next summer and volunteer again, as he has performed so well this summer.
Meredith Carter is the Silver Level volunteer. She is new to FHS and has demonstrated a high level of dedication to her service. She and her daughters, Maya and Nola, enjoy dog walking for those animals that are in the shelter. The dogs need time out of the kennel for a breath of fresh air and for exercise. All of the Carter family members find their time working with the dogs very rewarding.
The Bronze winners are Cade and Renee Bright. They come with their mother and are very busy volunteers. They are dog walkers; they help their mom foster kittens, and they are “Book Buddies” who read while visiting the animals at the shelter.
The volunteers demonstrate that you can be any age and add value to Foothills Humane Society. They also illustrate the wide range of services available to volunteers.
