Green Blades Garden Club set to meet Thursday, Feb. 13

The Green Blades Garden Club will meet Thursday, Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Lisa Stokes.
Members will also be greeted by co-hostesses Dibbit Lamb and Susie Hursey for an afternoon of Ikebana flower arrangement. On a cold February afternoon, what fun to watch lovely, serene flower arrangements unfold.
The guest speaker, Judy Melton, has studied Ikebana with the Ohara School of Ikebana and is President of the North American Ohara Teachers Association (NAOTA). The Ohara School of Ikebana is one the largest Ikebana schools in Japan, and focuses on the natural growth of plant materials in their arrangements. Attendees will watch Ms. Melton create five or six of these special items.
