Carolina Keglers Nov. 6 game results
Published 9:56 pm Tuesday, November 12, 2013
The Carolina Keglers is a very low-key fun league for women and men over 50 who want a little recreation and a little exercise. If you don’t think bowling is much exercise, consider lifting and throwing a 14-pound ball 60 times.
Those 840 pounds will tell you which muscles you haven’t used in a while. New bowlers are welcome at any time during the season, no experience needed.
The emphasis is on fun, not competition. Bowlers are placed on a new team each week. Stats are kept for individuals, not for teams. This format is quite different from traditional bowling leagues, but the Keglers seem to really enjoy it.
They bowl on Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m, at Autumn Lanes in Forest City.
Here are the results of the bowling on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
High games over average:
Jean-Jacques Benoist +28 = 166
Paul Ritoch +26 = 142
Ken Andersson +22 = 141
High series over average:
Paul Ritoch +44 = 394
Jean-Jacques Benoist +40 = 456
Anyone wishing to join the Carolina Keglers should contact Mike Davidson at 894-5823 or email kwk1970@windstream.net. Members are asked to please call Mike when they cannot bowl.
