Dr. Anne Montague Blythe is a seventh generation South Carolinian and a literary historian. She holds a doctorate in 20th century American Literature, with a specialty in Southern and South Carolina writers.
Formerly the curator of the Upcountry History Museum in Greenville, she is currently a heritage tourism consultant with Greenville County recreation district.
She also chairs the Heritage foothills committee, which directs mindful development, tourism and promotion of the Historic Highway 11 Corridor in Northern Greenville County.
Dr. Blythe has taught and directed conferences all over the world and has produced television and radio programs for South Carolina Educational TV and radio.
She has published widely on authors such as William Faulkner, Kate Chopin, Marjorie Rawlings and William Gilmore Simms. She is a published poet and has recently published her first novel entitled Carolina Mountain Song.
