Landrum helps Fox ‘Celebrate Carolinas’

On Monday, July 23, Landrum was featured in a live broadcast as part of Fox News’ “Celebrate the Carolinas” series on WHNS Channel 21.
The filming crew set up on the deck outside Foothills Amish Furniture in downtown Landrum and filmed interviews, performances and other activities from 5-9 a.m.
Landrum Mayor Bob Briggs kicked off the day at 5 a.m.
Live music was provided by Project X. Also featured were Jay Lichty, multi-instrumentalist and luthier, and Doug Rostick, one of the musicians performing in the Landrum Library’s upcoming “New Harmonies” series of concerts.
Local authors Dean Campbell, Beth Troyer, Pam Stone and Donna Thornton were on hand to sign their books. Campbell is the author of “Eyes to the Hills: /A Photographic Odyssey of the Dark Corner.” Troyer’s books include “Slow Poke Poppy Porcupine” and “Stand Still O Moon: Discovering the Key to Receiving Supernatural Authority, Rewards, and Latter Day Endurance.” Comedian Stone recently published a collection of her “I’m Just Saying” columns called “I Love Me a Turkey Butt Samwich,” and Thornton is the author of “The Christmas Donkey.”
