Foothills gymnasts bring home two team golds from Everest Classic

Geddings made her level 4 competition debut, winning second place in the Individual All-Around with a 35.850. Geddings also won the silver medal on vault with a 9.675 and the bronze medal on the beam with an 8.550, while earning fourth place finishes on bars (8.625) and floor (9.000). Geddings is the daughter of Jay and Lori Geddings and is a third-grade student at Tryon Elementary.
Ragan Ashmore won fourth place in the Individual All-Around, with her combined score of 35.325. Ashmore was the gold medal winner on vault with her season high score of 9.700 and placed fifth in the floor routine with a score of 8.900. Ashmore is the daughter of Warren Ashmore of Landrum and Jackie Jackson of Columbus.
Making her level 4 competition debut was Ella Waldman, a first-grade student at Tryon Elementary. Ella Waldman won fifth place in the Individual All-Around, with her combined score of 35.175. Waldman was the bronze medalist with her floor routine score of 9.075. On the bars (8.600) and beam (8.500), Ella Waldman won fifth-place honors. Ella Waldman is the daughter of Ethan and Renae Waldman of Tryon.
In the Modified Optional level, Elite gymnast Sydney Waldman was the Individual All-Around gold medalist, with her 36.350 combined score. Sydney Waldman also won gold on beam (9.100) and bars (9.025). Sydney Waldman was the bronze medalist in the floor routine (9.025) and placed fourth on vault (9.175). She is the daughter of Ethan and Renae Waldman of Tryon.
Modified Optional gymnast Colleen Burke followed teammate Waldman as the silver medalist in the Individual All-Around. Burke scored a combined 36.200, becoming an Elite gymnast. She won two gold medals, one in vault (9.450) and one in the floor routine (9.450). She was the bronze medalist on bars (8.700) and placed fifth on beam (8.600). Burke is the daughter of Julie Burke of Tryon and Pat Burke of Landrum.
Also competing in Modified Optional were sisters Julianna and Savannah Robbins. Julianna Robbins placed sixth in the All-Around (34.525). Julianna was the bronze medalist on vault with her third place win (9.225). She also won fourth place on bars with a score of 8.625, seventh place on balance beam (7.750), and fifth place on floor (8.9250). Savannah finished in seventh place with a score of 34.175. She was the silver medalist on vault with a 9.425. She also placed eighth on bars (8.275), eighth on beam (7.550) and sixth in the floor routine (8.9250). Julianna and Savannah are the daughters of Arthur and Joy Robbins of Columbus.
Modified Optional Teammate Lily Nelson placed eighth in the All-Around Individual competition (33.300). Nelson placed eighth on vault (8.875), seventh on bars (8.450), sixth on beam (8.275), and eighth in the floor routine (7.700). Nelson is the daughter of Rich and Kim Nelson of Tryon.
Foothills gymnasts next travel to Mt. Airy, N.C. on April 14 for the Aloha Bowl competition at which time the Level 2 gymnasts and the remaining Level 4 and Modified Optional teammates will make their competition debuts.
