To the Editor:
Citizens of Polk County and all of North Carolina are fortunate to have an elected official like Rep. David Guice.
On behalf of everyone employed at The Timken Company’s Tryon Peak Plant, I am writing to express our appreciation to Rep. Guice and fellow legislators who recently took action to sustain safe work places in our state.
Rep. Guice stood up for property rights and against excessive laws and regulations that would restrict companies like Timken from prohibiting firearms and protecting its employees and visitors on their own private property.
Our property is safer with this provision in place. It preserves Timken’s rightful authority to enact policies reflecting the expressed interests of our employees and other constituents who visit our manufacturing facility.
Thank you, Rep. Guice, for your courageous leadership in protecting the rights of property owners and the safety of the hard working citizens of your state.
