Polk district court results

In Polk County District Court held Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 with Judge Laura Powell presiding, 122 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are as given in court records):
Michael Fitzhugh Bell was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Bell was sentenced to 18 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Brandon Cory Boone was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Boone was sentenced to 24 hours of community service and court costs.
David Alan Creighton was convicted of driving while license revoked. Creighton was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Daniel Badge Franklin was convicted of level 2 driving while impaired. Franklin was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, seven days in jail and court costs.
Trenton E. French was convicted of level 1 driving while impaired and reckless driving – wanton disregard. On the driving while impaired charge, French was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, 30 days in jail (with credit for 10 days served) and court costs. On the reckless driving charge, he was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, 24 hours of community service and court costs.
Reon S. Garland was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Garland was sentenced to 18 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Reggie Jamont Hannon was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Hannon was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served.
Cody Lee Harris was convicted of misdemeanor possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Harris was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation.
Robert David Lovelace was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lovelace was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Stuart Van Meter was convicted of level 5 driving while impaired. Meter was sentenced to 18 months unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Thomas David Moran was convicted of worthless check simple. Moran was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, $287 in restitution and court costs.
John Scott Mullinax was convicted of attempt to obtain controlled substance by fraud/forgery. Mullinax was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, 24 hours of community service and court costs.
Charles B. Robinette was convicted of carrying a concealed weapon. Robinette was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served.
Steven B. Searcy was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Searcy’s probation was terminated.
Thomas Jeffrey Willard was convicted of level 2 driving while impaired. Willard was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, seven days in jail and court costs.
