Pine Crest Inn owner Carl Caudle expressed concern to the Polk County Board of Commissioners last week that the tourism office hired the directors husband without a bid to do the tourism website. Polk County Manager Ryan Whitson says he supports what the toursim board decides and a bid was not needed for the project. Synergy Point, run by the husband of the toursim director, has been working for the county since 2000 and the director was not hired until several years later.
