Wet weather stalls Tryon leaf pickup

The Town of Tryon is currently behind on leaf pick up, citing wet weather as the reason.
Tryon Public Works Director Joel Burrell updated town council on Tuesday as to how his department is handling catching up on collecting leaves and brush.
Burrell says its impossible to collect leaves when wet and for some time there was snow piled on top.
He told council about half the collection has been done and plans were, weather permitting, to begin working on the second half of town last week.
Burrell said he does not have a new schedule, but will get to areas as soon as possible.
