“We enjoyed doing it so much we thought we would do it again,” Watsons general manager Dave Herbert, said wryly at the Carolina Foothills Chamber dinner Tuesday.
Herbert told a reporter there was three inches of water in the showroom, and that as much as $70,000 in damages to flooring, cabinets and appliances, may have been done. Herbert said the Town of Columbus sidewalks appear to have diverted water into his building., downtown Columbus retailer of home appliances and floor coverings, flooded after the 3.5 inches of rain fell last Sunday. Unfortunately, Watson’s just recently celebrated the completion of its second, full-store remodel in 2 years.
