Polk County District Court results for March 30

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 102 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

OShea Shamar Booker was convicted of failure to appear. Booker was sentenced to one day in jail with credit.

Amanda Burris Brown was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Brown was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Vadim Cuciuc was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Cuciuc was fined $40 and court costs.

Arthur Eugene Harris was convicted of take ginseng without landowners’ permission. Harris was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $250 fine and court costs.

Calvin Odell Jones was convicted of driving while license revoked – not impaired revocation. Jones was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Seth Michael Matthews was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Matthews’ probation was terminated.

Renee Hope Searcy was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Searcy was fined $40 and court costs.

Andrea Beth Sprouse was convicted of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Sprouse was sentenced to 16 days in jail with credit.

Regina Bell Watkins was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Watkins was fined $100 and court costs.
