ICC Spindale to hold job fair

A job fair is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Foundation Performing Arts and Conference Center at Isothermal Community College, Spindale campus.

This job fair was originally developed to cater to displaced workers from Horsehead, the recently idled zinc reclamation operation in Harris. However, based on the number of companies that have confirmed attendance, the organizers would like to open the event to the public with an emphasis on attracting the Horsehead workers.

As of Wednesday, March 9, the employers slated to be on hand include Alliance Precision Plastic, PSU Staffing, KCH Engineered Solutions, Trelleborg, Wilbert Plastics, Talent Force, IMC, KSM, Clearwater Paper, Columbia Carolina, Westrock, Continental Automotive, Lassonda Pappas, Big Adventures, UPM Raflatac, Defender Services Inc. and Turner Construction.

Organizers include Isothermal Planning and Development along with the Customized Training Department at Isothermal Community College.

For more information, contact Mark Franklin at 828-395-1677.
