Donald Jackson of the Sunny View Community has been a long-time supporter of the FFA Plant Sale. He is known for having a “green thumb” and grows some of the best tomatoes in the county.

The annual Polk FFA Plant Sale begins April 1, and ends when all plants are sold, usually by May 5. Greenhouse hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Extended hours are available by calling 828-817-0528. Money from the sale will be used to assist a Polk County High School student with medical expenses, purchase FFA t-shirts, stipends for FFA Camp and fund other FFA activities.
