Lake and Moore

Lake and Moore

Free family concert with Lake & Moore at FENCE

On Sunday, March 20, 4 p.m. Lake & Moore will be performing both original music and covers. Lake & Moore is Todd Lake and Benjamin Moore. Lake and Moore have known each other for many years, went to college together, and are now both music teachers in Western North Carolina.

They began getting together to arrange and sing music in 2013, and perform many different genres, including folk and other acoustic styles of music. They also write original music, and have nearly 20 original songs that they perform regularly.

Refreshments to be served. This program has been made possible by Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation.

Composting presentation/demonstration

Have you ever wanted to start composting at home but thought that it would be too difficult, time consuming, or expensive? Well now is the time to learn all about composting and how easy it can be to compost at home!

On Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. Asheville Greenworks will be giving an informational presentation and demonstration at FENCE in the great room about composting. Join us to learn all about composting, the benefits of composting, and the ways to compost at home. They will demonstrate three different types of composting: The tumbler composter, the static composter, and the worm bin composter.

This program has been made possible by Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation.
