Mark your calendars for this stellar event hosted by the Rutherford County Visual Arts Guild, Celebration of the Arts (COTA). The show will be held at The Visual Arts Center, 160 N Main St. in Rutherfordton, N.C. from Aug. 23 to Sept. 23.  It is open to all artists.

There is an entry fee for guild members, students enrolled in any school and non-members. A total of four pieces may be entered into the show (2D, 3D, or a mix of 2D and 3D). Applications will be available at the Visual Arts Center and on the website, www.rcvag.com, starting June 1.

There will be cash prizes for best in show, as well as first, second, and third place in 2D and 3D categories. There are new size restrictions on 2D artwork this year, maximum size 30″x 26″ and minimum size 16″ x 16″.

There will be an artists reception and awards announcements on August 7 for the COTA show artists and their guests.
