School libraries receive copies of book on flora, fauna of Pearson’s Falls

MonarchWEB

Tryon Elementary School received a copy of Pearson’s Falls – Hidden Gem of the Blue Ridge, by Daniel Cox. Students are fourth graders Lawson Carter, Luke Miller, and Pearl Holloway and in the back are Jamie Kilgore, librarian, and Jackie Burke from Tryon Garden Club. In order for young people to learn more about this special place in our county, the Tryon Garden Club has donated a copy of the book to each of the school libraries in Polk County and in Landrum as well as to the public libraries.
