Meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Tryon Elementary School

The Polk County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, Nov. 7 in the Tryon Elementary School auditorium.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

Commissioners decided this year to travel to the county’s townships every three months. Monday’s meeting will be the fourth traveling meeting this year. Commissioners have met in Green Creek, Saluda and Pea Ridge so far.

Monday’s agenda includes the announcement of the new director of the Polk County Department of Social Services.

All residents are invited to attend. The school located in Tryon off School Street. Residents are asked to park either on a street near the auditorium, including School Street, or in parking lots in the area. The main door of the first building will be open, which leads to the school auditorium.
