The women of St. Luke CME Church will sponsor a memorial service for the deceased women of St. Luke called “Women of St. Luke Beyond the Golden Pond” on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m.
A candlelight service, hymns, prayers and a memorial meditation by Rev. Eleanor Miller will be included. A repast will follow.
In recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, pink ribbons will be available to wear. The church is located on Markham Rd. in Tryon and Rev. Barbara Phillips is the pastor.
