Bluegrass, old-time country music returns to Tryon

The KingPup Radio Show returns to the Log Cabin at Harmon Field in Tryon on Sunday Oct. 9 at 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. for its final concert taping of the season.
Phil and Gaye Johnson, hosts of the popular radio program, invite the public to join them for an afternoon of “roots” music with the old-time string band music of the South Carolina Broadcasters, bluegrass music with Split Rail Bluegrass and the eclectic roots sound of The Pauls Creek Band. The Johnsons will round out the program.
The free concert is sponsored by the Town of Tryon and will be recorded for The KingPup Radio Show, which is heard locally on WNCW – FM 88.7 on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. Programs are also syndicated to more than 50 outlets worldwide. The radio show is available at www.radioYUR.com.
This is the final concert of the season. The log cabin is located on Harmon Field Road in Tryon between Hwy. 176 and Hwy. 108.
Admission is free and donations are accepted.
